Albany wedding with Luda+Bill

Hey all, it’s Andrew back with a quick wedding for you all before I head to Vegas tomorrow! This was a bright sunny wedding back in the early summer in Albany, NY at 11 North Pearl.

Who doesn’t love a pair of those Christian Louboutin’s?

A few finishing touches and then it’s all smiles.

The flowers matching both dresses and each other perfectly? I’ll take it.

A quick first look before the church…

..and a few shots of everyone before the big ceremony!

The Cathedral of All Saints is gorgeous and absolutely huge. Spectacular choice, I can’t wait to shoot there again.

Of course no wedding here at C+W would be complete without some gorgeous portraits.

At the Capitol, of course.

Gorgeous greenery and sun. Can’t wait for that weather to be back.

The inside of 11 North Pearl looked gorgeous. Definitely an underrated venue inside of the city of Albany!

Thanks to Luda+Bill for having me at their beautiful 11 North Pearl wedding!

Thanks for visiting the blog of the Albany wedding photographers

Engagement Shoot Albany NY with Rochelle+AJ

Albany engagement photos are some of our favorites! On a very lovely Spring day here in Albany, I had the chance to escape the rain all week and photograph the engagement of Rochelle + AJ.

Meet one of the ring bearers!

This is how you enjoy a beautiful Spring day!

Nothing like a little catch in the park!

I look forward to their wedding, Labor Day weekend in Cooperstown. I’m sure the weather will be just as nice!

Stacey+Rich’s Otesaga wedding

Get buckled in because we have a monster blog post from an Otesaga wedding hitting you first thing this morning right between the eyes! You may remember Stacey+Rich from their NYC engagement shoot which we did in the Fall. I feel like I can usually get a pretty good vibe from a couple just from the engagement shoot alone – and when they rented out an abandoned and sick NYC building for us to shoot in I knew it was going to be the start of an awesome relationship! Factor that in with an Otesaga wedding, and her team of vendors… well just check out the images below:

Nice window light, and gorgeous designers – nice way to start the day (other than the snow storm!)

Another hot C+W bride (no, it never gets old)

Rich and the guys were holding serve though – his tux fit like a glove and his bow tie was awesome. Rich probably was wondering if I was hitting on him during the wedding but when a guy really gets something custom it shows

I’m always sneaking around looking for moments like these

It was very snowy outside so we wanted to stay a little warm, even if it was just for a minute

But you know I have to go outside! Cmon now. Christine Wheat was there to make me look once again

A couple of my favorites – absolutely in love with these images

Afterward we headed over to the Farmers Museum to hit up some of their great locations

Yes this is a devoted wedding party, I’m not sure it ever got above 15 or 16 degrees the entire time we were outside

This tree with hanging snowflake table cards was a huge hit

David Michael Schmidt from Renaissance Floral Designs absolutely knocked it out of the park on this one. The man is insanely talented anyway, and you see him on this blog a lot….but damn!

I wasn’t the only one impressed :))

Otesaga weddings look amazing

I love this moment during one of the toasts

Dancing the night away with Soul Session

As if ALL OF THAT wasn’t enough – yep, it’s time for the sickest backdrop in the history of weddings. Seriously check that thing out!! That’s a blue sheet hung from piping with several rows and layers of hand-cut snowflakes. The layers and different rows give it that dimension the background has.

Thank you to both families for having me, and for allowing me to share in such an awesome event. Seriously you all were awesome, and you had a truly incredible wedding. I’m sincere when I say I feel lucky to have been included. Also a big thank you to the team of pros that I worked with that day – everyone was on tippy top of their game and it was fun to watch. It’s inspiring. And of course Otesaga weddings are some of my favorites (hope to do it again soon Melissa!)

christine wheat: Luke, love the images. The energy on that snowy winter day was magical. From the first meeting with this couple, in NYC, I knew I was going to love them. The bride has a great vision and allowed all of the vendors to bring it to life. Soul Session rocked it, Renaissance made the guests jaws drop when they entered the ballroom, the venue gave premiere service and photography...well what can I say I LOVE the images. Classic and timeless! Great working with you.

Emma+Jon

I just got done photographing an absolutely sick wedding at 11 North Pearl this week and I can’t wait to share! This wedding gets uber fast turnaround due to our Wedding of the Year contest launching this week, and I wanted my last couple of 2011 to be included.
Can’t go wrong with some cute Kate Spade‘s to start the day and a Vineyard dress (I’m going to miss them!). I love this shot Andrew captured of Emma with the dress.

Jon loves himself some beer, and the man has good taste (in more than just beer). Being a home brewer meant we knew he’d have some good brew on hand. In addition we hit up a spot later on to pay homage.

First looks are always a treat for us to set up, especially when there are awesome gifts involved!

Who says you can’t get butta light in December in Upstate NY! Boo yea! We headed over to Empire State Plaza for some money shots

My favorite set from the wedding – just gorgeous. You’d have no idea it was pushing 30 degrees at most :)

Cheers to the weekend, I’ll drink to that!

Afterwards we headed over to the Albany Pump Station for some shots

The church in downtown Albany was absolutely gorgeous, and the fact that Emma’s father did the service made it even more special

Weddings at 11 North Pearl look incredible, it’s such a great space for Albany weddings

More eye candy at 11 North Pearl weddings

This last series – LOVE. Seriously I was drooling over these, especially since it was Emma’s idea for me to take her out and shoot them (think lower 20s and absolutely artic). So, so beautiful.

Wedding Date: December 10, 2011
Wedding & Reception Venue(s): 11 North Pearl Event Center
Dress: Priscilla of Boston, Vineyard Collection
Hair/makeup: Make Me Fabulous
Bridesmaid dresses: Jim Hjelm Occasions
Flowers: Felthousen’s Florist
Catering: Classe Catering
Entertainment: Mike Garassi

Thank you both for including us in such a gorgeous event. Can’t wait to see more 11 North Pearl weddings in the near future!

Heather+Eric’s wedding at the Whiteface Lodge

There’s nothing quite like Fall in the Northeast in general, but driving up the Northway on a sunny afternoon to Lake Placid is one of my favorite parts of living in Upstate NY. Truly it’s one of the best drives I’ve ever seen anywhere in the country in the Fall and 2 weeks ago I had the chance of enjoying it once again for Heather+Eric’s wedding. As many of your blog followers know we shoot at the Whiteface Lodge a ton up in Lake Placid and I was excited to be there once again to capture some gorgeous wedding photos.
You know it’s going to be beautiful when even the bridesmaids dresses are hot

Heather’s Paloma Blanca looked smokin on her

LOVE

This is one of my favorite series of the day – Heather looks amazing and her mother’s expression says it all

Eric was getting busy too

This little girl was insanely cute… I think she’s nervous here so maybe if I cover my eyes nobody can see me :)

While shooting in a church is of course normal for us, what a pleasant change to be able to shoot in such an awesome environment

Decent backgrounds…

These are always the looks I’m trying to capture

Whiteface Lodge does an amazing job with their outdoor wedding ceremonies

One of my favorite group of ladies so far this year – they had me cracking up all morning

After we were able to nail down some great group and family shots I snuck out the bride and groom to take advantage of the awesome backdrops around Whiteface Lodge for their weddings

The fall colors and a little sunset sneaking in – great combo!

Yes I did have one of these apples, and yes it’s as good as it looks!

Time for a little dancing

Thank you both so much for having me at your wedding, and congratulations on an amazing event!

Dress: Paloma Blanca
Hair/makeup: Hair – The Spa at The Whiteface Lodge Makeup – Gina Scammell
Bridesmaid dresses: Love by Enzoani
Flowers: Trillium Florist
Cake: The Whiteface Lodge
Catering: The Whiteface Lodge
Entertainment: Total Entertainment

Another Whiteface Lodge Wedding for C+W!
