Jenny+Cameron at the Whiteface Club in Lake Placid

I’m excited to show you another Summer Whiteface Club and Resort wedding! I always enjoy Lake Placid and working with everyone from Whiteface Club, especially Kristin!

Cameron and Jenny families have known each other for a long long time, and even graduated from high school together…hanging out with the same crowds and dating each other’s friends, etc.   They  dated for a little over 6 years, over the distances (at times he was in Greenville, NC and Jenny was in Savannah, GA), before they moved back to Fayetteville, NC (their hometown). Many of the guests were from North Carolina, and it was nice hearing that Southern draw here in Upstate NY! :)

Jenny’s family has a property in Lake Placid so it was an easy choice to getting married for a destination wedding.

Jenny’s sister (Brooks, the Matron of Honor) grew most of the sunflowers used in Jenny’s bouquet and at the altar.

Meet ‘Banks’, the couples dog named after the North Carolina banks of course, where they love to vacation together.

Jenny’s ‘something old’ was from her mother-in-law, who wore it at her wedding, and then lent it to her sister-in-law when she got married….

The couple’s color was purple, with a somewhat “wildflower” look, with green, yellow, and orange.  Jenny also wanted to incorporate a lot of the birch bark and “Adirondack” feel, without going too overboard with it! I think Lake Placid Flower and Gift nailed that!

Jenny bought purple rain boots, just in case. But not a cloud in the sky all day!

I’ve said this on my blog before and will say it again but Whiteface Club and Resort’s garden is AMAZING! Lots of these butterflies flying around this time of year.

In lieu of “flowers placed at the altar” in memory of their loved ones who have passed away, they hung eight crosses to honor them!

What sums up the Great Out Doors better than an awesome camp fire with the best of friends in the most ideal of locations? S’mores anyone? Don’t worry, this photographer couldn’t pass them up. YUM-YUM!

A quick shot out to the Glass Onion…from Plattsburg, NY.  Great band!  Matt Mero and the rest of the group were so incredibly nice, and they definitely kept the dance floor hopping ALL night!

Enjoy your newly married life back in Fayetteville, NC!

Alexis + Adam – Whiteface Club & Resort

Alexis and Adam had an incredibly fun wedding in the Adirondacks at the Whiteface Club & Resort where they worked with the awesome Kristin Parker. The result was a celebration infused with sweet, personalized details that we just loved.

To start the day off right, a beautiful bride decked out in a drop dead gorgeous Priscilla of Boston Vineyard Collection dress and fabulous Stuart Weitzman shoes. (We have a thing for an amazing dress and killer shoes around here, have you noticed?)

Alexis worked with the spa at Mirror Lake Inn for her hair and makeup. Liz Scofield of Lake Placid Flower and Gift created the beautiful fall-inspired flowers, all in vibrant shades of plum, orange and yellow.

Alexis wore pearl earrings that were an engagement gift from Adam’s mother, a pearl necklace borrowed from her mother and her grandmother’s garter from 1947. Adam wore Laborador Retriever cufflinks that were a wedding gift from Alexis in honor of their beloved lab Hudson.

Adam and Alexis included a mix of both Catholic and Jewish traditions in their ceremony and used a Kiddish cup from Adam’s dad and his wife, Arlyn’s, wedding. At Adam’s request, they also had a bag piper.

Alexis’s bridesmaids wore Melissa Sweet dresses in a gorgeous shade of plum that was just perfect for an early fall wedding. The colors worked perfectly with all of the other details, including the DIY wedding ceremony programs, table numbers, menus and welcome bags that Alexis crafted.

By far one of the coolest guest book ideas we’ve ever seen, Alexis and Adam had guests sign a green painted Adirondack chair in lieu of a traditional guest book.
