Kristine + Nathan – The Whiteface Lodge

Kristine and Nathan are New Yorkers who regularly compete in the Lake Placid Ironman and train in Lake Placid several times a year. When deciding where to have their May wedding, The Whiteface Lodge in Lake Placid was the perfect choice. For us, any opportunity to get to shoot at The Whiteface Lodge and work with their events coordinator Stephanie Wright is one we’re excited about so that made Kristine and Nathan’s wedding even more fun for us.

Kristine’s gorgeous dress was by Christos and she wore really fabulous satin shoes from Kate Spade.

Kristine choose a really fresh and vibrant color palette of kelly green and bright pink with accents of navy blue and gold. The gorgeous flowers were the work of Kris Breitmeyer of Trillium in Saranac Lake.

Love this group shot! Kristine and Nathan’s awesome event planner, Mim Frantz of Juniper Events did an amazing job with all of the details – she even ran out and picked up these balloons for us last minute. (Thanks, Mim!) They had a big wedding party filled with friends, sorority sisters, family members, and Nathan’s brothers as his two best men – the three of them are triplets!

Kathy + Chris – Glen Sanders Mansion

Kathy and Chris braved early spring in Upstate NY when planning their April wedding, but it was a risk worth taking, because their wedding was absolutely stunning. They were married in a beautiful ceremony at St. Edwards Church in Clifton Park and celebrated with a reception at Glen Sanders Mansion. The elegant earth tone color palette of green and brown was incredibly sophisticated and highlighted with accents of crystals and loads of candlelight. Everything about their wedding, which Kathy planned herself, was traditional elegance at its best.

Kathy made an absolutely beautiful bride, with hair and makeup from the pros at Make Me Fabulous. Her accessories were from The Bridal Gallery by Yvonne while her bridesmaids donned brown satin dresses from Angela’s Bridal.

Of course, Kathy left no detail forgotten when planning the beautiful reception, it was the epitome of elegance and romance.

And just because Kathy and Chris are so great, we asked them to share a little bit more…

How did you meet?
Chris and I met online on Match.com. He was the first person online that I met in person and I was going to be his last – and I was!!! He waited 7 days to ask me out after our initial date, playing by those “unofficial dating rules.” Our first date was at the Stadium Café in downtown Saratoga Springs. I brought my friend and her mother with me, just in case he was psycho. We watched a South Carolina vs. Arkansas football game (I’m an Alabama graduate and my girlfriend is a South Carolina graduate). We were an item after that second first date and got engaged after two years of dating. He’s the man of my dreams!

Did you include any special traditions in your wedding?
I carried a hankerchief that my brother gave to my mom the day he got married. My older sister carried it on her wedding day too (we all got married within 2 years of each other)

Is there anything else you’d like to share?
We absolutely chose the right photographers and videographer for us. Clark + Walker is professional, fun, creative and damn good at their job!

How can we argue with that? Thank you, Kathy and Chris, for allowing us to be a part of your celebration! We wish you all the best in the years ahead.

Lindsay: Absolutely fabulous photos! I'm proud to say that I was that friend, their first date was a blast (go Cocks!) and the rest is history. Two people couldn't be more perfectly matched. Looking forward to having Alisha, Dawn and John T. (you'll be missed Luke) at my wedding in December.

congrats to Payal and Karanjit

We are counting down the days to our wedding now, only one week left! It’s been crazy over here obviously with all the shooting and trying to wrap up last minute details. I’m excited to take a break from wedding planning this afternoon and share some images from Payal and Karanjit’s wedding. I had been looking forward to working with them ever since our awesome engagement shoot.
When I met the two of them, I knew photographing Payal as a bride was going to be a real treat!

As I’ve said before, I love the vadai ceremony and the emotion it brings with it. This shot of Payal I think sums it up well

Alright I’ve given some love to Payal because she looked so great, but Karan needs a little love too

Erica+Brian Wedding Trailer

Coming down the stairs in the Edith Wharton designed 1902 mansion, The Mount, Brian gets his first glimpse of his bride Erica. I absolutely love “first meetings”. Some might say it’s unlucky, but that old superstition is worth breaking when the couple has all that time to really enjoy each other before the ceremony. That is where this day started, and it set the mood for a day filled with beautiful shots of two people made for each other.

Alanna+Jeff (wedding Trailer)

Going to the Barns at Wesleyan Hills gave use the opportunity to film in a setting that is not your normal traditional wedding venue. And that is what made it so amazing! The English style barn itself is 140 years old and had plenty of character to show. With a second level overlooking the dance floor, and the willow trees and pond outside, it was easy to find an amazing shot. I especially loved how the light came into the barn, giving an antique look in the final shot.
A big congratulations to Alanna and Jeff who threw a fantastic wedding.
