Tribeca Rooftop wedding Jessica+Michael

We have an amazing NYC wedding on tap this afternoon! Jessica+Michael’s Tribeca Rooftop wedding in NYC was a highlight of my Spring so far with such amazing people and families. Anytime I come down and spend multiple days at a wedding it always allows me to connect with people so much. It’s something that I really appreciate. Team these two up with NYC Tribeca Rooftop, gorgeous Spring blossoms, an all star NYC cast, and my good friend Jesse Turnquist guest shooting and you’re in for a major treat!

The getting ready was at the SoHo Grand and this room we had to use was killer. All getting ready rooms should have a microphone like this!

I love this shot of Jessica’s sister’s reaction once the dress is on :)

Can you blame her?

Michael and the guys were looking good as well

I took advantage of this room once again for the first look

I have to give a little blog love to Moose though too!!

Finding the right NYC streets in Spring can give amazing results

Then we headed over to the Tribeca Rooftop for the wedding ceremony

Once the room was flipped it looked incredible

Having a view of NYC in the background also ain’t too shabby!

We also had the Clark+Walker photobooth going strong! Big props to Poppies and Posies for the custom backdrop

Dress: Amsale…the people and service (and the tailor, Rula!) are amazing at the Amsale flagship store (I absolutely recommend them!)
Bride’s earrings: Adorn (I was nervous about renting but it was totally seamless and they were a pleasure to work with…I felt like such a celebrity!)
Hair/makeup: Bride: John Barrett Salon, 754 Fifth Avenue (Carter, hair; Mauricio, makeup): Other girls: Prive Salon, 310 West Broadway
Flowers: Poppies and Posies
Catering: Tribeca Rooftop NYC wedding
Cake: Tribeca Rooftop wedding photos
Entertainment: Jerry Kravat Music
Invitations and favor cards: Bella Figura
Day of paper (programs, menu cards and signs): Amber Crudup
Table numbers and escort cards: Jane Dolan from Southern Calligraphy

Thank you both so much for allowing me to come down and share in your amazing Tribeca Rooftop wedding!

Caitlyn+Paddy Lake Placid, NY

Are you ready for a stunning Lake Placid wedding that got major attention on Facebook? Anyone I know personally, getting married, I always try to convince them to get married up in Lake Placid…. So I’m always very excited to shoot up there. It’s just breathtaking……. Whiteface Lodge is an amazing place to have a wedding! Just even the drive up is special to us…. Luke and I read a while back that it was rated on Yahoo as one of the best drives in America up there on the Northway. I’ll even throw a little teaser in here…. one of the spots I saw on the side of the road I brought the couple back too later in the day ;)

Lake Placid weddings have such a natural background everywhere around us

Amsale is one of my favorite designers. Way to go Caitlyn!

I love this black and white image walking down the aisle…..

Lela rose bridesmaids is also a CW designer favorite.

Whiteface’s Lodge, The Canoe Club, private beach property. This location makes it easy being a Whiteface Lodge wedding photographer.

I love this belt….

I drove by this yellow field of flowers on my way up to the venue. So thankful the couple let me drive 20 minutes out of our way to come back here. Money enough to get on the Clark+Walker Facebook page

Need a panoramic view? Here you go!

Sparklers in memory of Caitlyn’s father whom has passed. Very sweet.

Emily+Steve Hudson Valley Wedding @ Crabtree’s Kittle

Up to bat on the blog today is the lovely Spring Wedding of Emily+Steve! I was happy they invited me to their Hudson Valley wedding at the Crabtree Kittle House.

I thought I would share their story on how they met and got engaged!

They both met during our junior year in college at NYU, in early April of 2004. It was sometime around midnight at a party thrown by a mutual friend. Steve was bored, standing against a wall in a narrow hallway waiting while one of his friends was hitting on a girl. He then felt someone hold his hand and looked over and saw a girl he did not know (Emily) smiling at him. She later told him that she would have never done something like that if it had not been for the few drinks she had had earlier.

They both lived apart for several years and saw each other sometimes every month and sometimes not for 6 or 8 months while Emily was working as a nurse in the Air Force and Steve was in Medical school (which he just graduated from earlier this month). The proposal came last summer when they went on a vacation to go camping in Big Bend National Park in Texas. They went at the end of August when not many people go because of the oppressive heat during the day (but this was his only vacation time between his 3rd and 4th years of medical school). They were planning to propose at the top of the tallest peak but his plans were delayed when the only other couple they saw the entire week happened to be at the top and didn’t seem to be wanting to go anywhere else. Additionally, Emily’s fingers were slightly swollen due to the heat so they thought the ring wouldn’t fit. And one more thing: the hike turned out to be a lot harder than they had expected so she was not very happy and was complaining about how tired she was and how she didn’t want to stay long at the peak and she just wanted to go back down. So they went back to their camp in the valley between two mountains. They drank some wine and made dinner. After dinner they went to an overlook to watch the sunset and that is where Steve proposed. It was cooler out, they were no longer thirsty and had eaten and were in much better moods.

Less than two months later, Emily was finished with the Air Force and moved to NY to live with Steve.

I really love this dress and belt from Modern Trousseau . It’s called “Autumn” and makes it easy on us photographers

I love how all the bridesmaids dresses are different, customized yet coordinated! Perfect for a Spring wedding!

Love this belt!

It makes it easy being a Hudson Valley Wedding Photographer with backgrounds like this!

Their friend, Katherine Nguyen at The Cake Dealer, made the cake! So cute!

Thanks for having us at your wedding! I look forward to seeing facebook post about all the marathons you love to run together! ~Alisha

Saratoga National wedding with Heather+Michael

Starting the week off right with a Saratoga National wedding video! We’ve had our share of spring weather for the start of this wedding season, but I don’t think we could have gotten a better day for a wedding video than we did for Heather and Michael’s. On top of having amazing light and weather for this celebration, we also had a killer group of pros kicking with us. David Michael Schmidt from Renaissance Floral Designs, wedding planner Christine A. Wheat, Msgr. Christopher Richard, The New York Players laying down some funk,Make Me Fabulous, and our good friend Jp and Joe Elario from Joe Elario Photography always bring in top notch style. It’s always great working with a great team for my Saratoga National wedding video, because I know I’m going to be able to get the most out of the time we get to spend with the newlyweds.
Also, a big thank you to Tracy and the staff over at Saratoga National Golf Club.

It’s been a pleasure getting a chance to work with you both, thank you so much for allowing me to document your wedding video at the Saratoga National Golf Club!

Lauren+Michael’s Nantucket wedding photos!

I’m super duper excited to show you our first Nantucket wedding! I admitting that I was happy when Lauren+Michael decided to change their December New York wedding to a Spring Nantucket wedding and boy did I make the most of it!!

Love love love Lauren’s dress. By my own wedding dress designer, Elizabeth Filmore. You know it’s gonna be a great day full of killer wedding photos.

Welcome to White Elephant Nantucket Weddings!

Did Lauren ROCK it or what? If I ever have a ginger baby girl (hey, there is a chance!), I want the baby to look just like Lauren.

Taking to the streets for Nantucket wedding photos! Everything is almost walking distance from the White Elephant Nantucket Wedding so that’s nice!

Smoking light, smoking couple = beautiful Nantucket wedding photos!

This is right behind Tommy Hilfigers house.

One of the reasons they love Nantucket is because of its natural beauty and subdued elegance.  Foremost, they wanted to showcase the harbor which was serving as the backdrop of their reception.  They also wanted to give the event a relaxed yet elegant feel, and incorporated a Nantucket touches such as blue hydrangeas, beach grass, and the starfish escort cards.

White Elephant wedding details

I had to sneak out of the venue for these shots across the street but NO WAY was I missing a sunset like this on the shore!

Thanks for having me out guys! Can’t wait to see those red headed babies of yours! Hopefully more White Elephant Nantucket Wedding photos in the future!
