Photobooth

A FUN, EXCITING, and UNIQUE way to have guest photos taken at your wedding reception is to include a photobooth! I know many of you have seen multiple blog entries over the last couple of years with photobooths, and we’ve been booking more and more of them. It is essentially a mini studio, set-up at your reception, that encourages you and your guests to let loose, have fun, and take some very unique photos. This creative alternative to traditional guest photos sets the stage for some awesome images that will be a fantastic addition to your wedding album.

As you check out these images, you will see just how much fun having a photobooth at your reception can be!

We include a couple small cute propsy type things like these chalkboards by request. They help encourage people to get in the photobooth and break down that intimidating “what do I do?” type of feeling.

We offer a few different fabric backdrops to choose from, but you are able to create a custom one to suit your event’s style as well.

Lots of people can squeeze into a photobooth, which might make you think it would take up a lot of space, but it is surprisingly small and can fit at any event.

Heidi+Matt at The Sagamore, Lake George

Happy Monday everyone, and I cannot wait to share this amazing wedding at The Sagamore! When I first met with Heidi and Matt I knew right away they had style, taste, and we were going to have a ton to work with when we arrived at the wedding. I have to give huge props to Heidi though, she really nailed the entire weekend from the rehearsal to the last dance. The details, the decor, her Vera Wang dress, and she even must have called in a couple favors to get some amazing light for me :) I hope you enjoy the images below!

The parasol Heidi snagged last minute was a great addition. Not only did it look great in pictures but actually came in super helpful with that crazy bright sun. Turn harsh sun into beautiful light…

I’m a big fan of the bride+groom saying a little something at their wedding. I know Alisha+I grabbed the mic during our dinner to thank people and to share some thoughts and feelings… it’s a classy touch.

Even though I loved her Vera, this cute little Mori Lee was a lot of fun for sunset portraits. I thought Heidi absolutely ROCKED it. This was the Clark+Walker Studio facebook page teaser

Clark+Walker Movie Premiere!

As you’ve read on this blog, and seen on our facebook, we rented out the famous Proctors Theatre in Schenectady for a premiere showing of our new film La Nouvelle Vague. The idea behind this film was to visually share with people what is capable with true wedding cinematography, and to also share how far the medium has come and what today’s top filmmakers can do at weddings. The event was a smashing success! Anytime we can get laughing, crying, smiling, and a standing ovation with a chant for a speech after a film we know we’ve done our job.

We busted out the red carpet for this event and black tie attire to make sure it felt like a true premiere

It wouldn’t be one of our signature events without a little of our humor incorporated. We had these bumper stickers printed up with some pins as well. In addition we used VHS tapes with these stickers on them instead of business cards at the event.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support us and for an awesome evening!

C+W Photobooths

As you may have seen on the Clark+Walker facebook page, background extraordinaire Drop It MODERN did a feature on our studio.  We started offering them at weddings about 2 years ago and we saw them absolutely blow up in 2010!  We really do have a ton of fun doing these, and I think anyone who got one would highly recommend them.  It adds such a fun twist to receptions the shots with some of your friends…. I honestly wish Alisha and I did one at our wedding.  It’s just a blast for everyone involved.  Here is a sampling of one of Drop It MODERN’s backdrops that my good friend JP Elario told us to buy because of the C+W color scheme:

We did a huge variety of backgrounds in 2010 though.  What else would you expect from our creative couples?

Brigid+Steve used blue+green for their wedding colors, so check out the background we created for them:

How about more of a pink+purple color scheme? That’s no problem

photobooths!

Photobooths have seen quite the popularity surge over the past several years, and they only continue to get more common at weddings. The traditional idea of 2 or 3 people squished together inside a small box with 4 quick photos of them making silly faces has really been changed. As modern brides continue to make their events more about having fun+creating memories and less about forced formalities, it’s no wonder why these photobooths are becoming all the rage.

With a professional camera photobooth set up, the only limitation is our imagination. We can choose any number of backdrops, from paper photo backdrops, to fabrics, we can bring in props, couches, and even have themed photo booths (I’ve been sitting on an 80s themed photo booth idea for a couple months that I’m dieing to do!).

As with anything else in modern day weddings, everything can be customized to the wishes of the bride and groom. If they would like a minimalist approach with just a backdrop and photos of friends that’s easily accomplished. However we have an array of props and ideas to encourage people to let loose and walk away with some hilarious memories. It’s all up to the bride+groom and what kind of event they want.

For this particular wedding the bride had a vision for her photobooth, she wanted to see a black backdrop and an over-sized chair for people to use. This allowed small groups, large groups, snuggling, and just having fun.
