Caley+Frank at the Hall of Springs

More blog love for ya and a few more in the works! We love The Hall of Springs and it’s always a delight to shoot there. It was a gorgeous day in Saratoga Springs and we love the light in outdoor ceremonies! These two were a delight to work with and did a fantastic job in front of the camera, which you will find out right after you check out the photos!

This was one of my favorite moments from the morning, when Caley read Frank’s hand delivered note.  Frank is class all the way.

Caley opted to get ready in one of the big rooms downstairs and we’re quickly becoming fans of the non-standard getting ready spot! Read more about why.

Caley’s hair and makeup look amazing! Big shout out to Make Me Fabulous for the amazing job!

The ring, the bracelet, the dress, wow.

It’s so nice having huge windows and french doors to open – if it’s not sunset then you have to create the butta light!

A couple of my favorites after they saw each other for the first time.

Don’t they look adorable?!

The guys vs the girls.

After that we headed to the Hall of Springs for the ketubah.

Our door ceremonies at the Hall are some of my personal favs.

You know what time it is!  I love how the veil just grabs some of that gorgeous light

Gorgeous you two!

After I got done with my 2 models we headed in and got the party started

Who doesn’t like a little dancing?

These following two photos might be every brides dream. Frank did a guest spot with their wedding band Soul Session and played a song himself! Way to go you rockstar!

This was the facebook teaser shot; it had to go in here.

Big thank you to you guys!

Lisa+Dan: wedding at the Hall of Springs

We have another beautiful Hall of Springs wedding on tap for you this morning! You may remember Lisa+Dan as recent blog all-stars from our engagement shoot in NYC together – LINK. A really cute couple who like to have fun and who are great in front of the camera… yea you know what that means. Longest blog entry of the year alert! Totally worth it though, and these 2 really cashed in their weather karma that we earned from several rescheduled engagement shoots :)

Lisa’s details were beautiful. I love the shoes with the books as it gives some charm and the rings on the Saratoga Water Glass bottle for local flava

I thought Lisa’s Ramona Keveza dress was the perfect choice for her and looked incredible. Sunflowers in Saratoga also did a great job on the bouquets

Amy Elizabeth was rocking another wedding with us!

Lisa is one of our brides that almost make it not fair – photogenic, beautiful smile, and just fun to be around. It makes us look good though :)

Dan’s got it going on too though, he knew he had to bring his A game.

Lisa’s got an A plus game though. WOW.

The outdoor ceremony at the Hall of Springs was perfect, as usual, and very fun for us to shoot. (and yes Dan you can stop checking the weather now)

This moment was captured right as the bagpipes started to play for Lisa’s entrance down the aisle. Love this!!!

Glances and looks like this are what we’re always trying to capture. In between moments during the ceremony.

I love the look we were able to capture on Dan’s face as the rings are exchanged….

Time for some fun! This was an awesome crowd, and I knew the vibe was going to be great when Lisa described her wedding as “great food, great drinks, fun location where our guests could come and enjoy the weekend.”

The bridal party brought their A game too :)

Lisa nailed the details all the way around

Time to head out and, oh I don’t know, create some pictures that the bride and groom will hang in their home and cherish for the rest of their lives. Let’s see if we can hit it out of the park….

The Hall of Springs grounds at sunset can be absolutely incredible

This shot I had to include because it just shows Dan’s personality, which I loved. Dan anytime you want to grab another drink sometime I’m game man

Wedding photography can be easy with this sort of backdrop and with DJ Jeffrey Scott laying it down

One last gorgeous portrait before we call it

Thank you both so much for having us at your wedding, and for allowing me to document your relationship over the past couple of months. It’s been a blast and we need more excuses to get together on NYC rooftops in the future.

Lindsay+Dan at the Hall of Springs

Last weekend was a double header for Clark+Walker! This was the second of the two we shot (scroll down for the other). We were over at the Hall of Springs to shoot the wedding of Lindsay+Dan. After living within three miles of each other growing up, they met in DC through mutual friends. What are the odds of that?!

An old field camera… who couldn’t use that for a ring shot?

The girls looked so adorable!

On goes the Pronovias dress! How good does she look already!?

Once again C+W strikes when it comes to choosing the room to get the dress on. If you missed it before here’s a post we did on getting ready – usually the room you’re getting dressed in is the room which has the best light. Period. Even if it is the living room :)

Sometimes people’s reactions once the bride is finally dressed are the best shots…

Lindsay had a great smile, and was the kind of person who shares it all day long.

Time for the butta light.

I think they might be a little happy. Do you agree?

The Hall of Springs looks amazing as usual. We love it there!

I loved these hand written cards!

The details were all nailed

What’s a wedding without hamburger sliders and fries to end the night?! Boo yea!

Big big thanks to Lindsay+Dan for having us at their wedding!

Erin+Rick Hall of Springs New Year's Eve Wedding

Happy New Year everyone! 2010 went out with a bang at the Hall of Springs on New Years Eve. C+W loves New Years Eve’s wedding because everyone is in such a spirit to have a great time! Plus we have all the ingredients for one of our weddings – a beautiful bride, a hot dress, beautiful decor, and one of our favorite traditions a NYE wedding.

We’re excited and proud to add Erin + Rick’s images to our tradition:

Erin had a hot dress, and knew how to work the camera!

The Hall of Springs was looking amazing, as usual. All the candles during the ceremony gave it a beautiful ambiance and glow, definitely in the winter wedding spirit.

Beautiful ceremony set up right?!

We don’t need perfect summer sunsets to get the money light!

New Years Eve weddings are so different because the anticipation actually grows as the night goes on… it’s a very different feel. There’s this sort of buzz and excitement all night, we personally love NYE weddings!

Oh no she didnt, the Kayne’s!?

I have to give a big shout out the Hall of Springs who nailed it once again. C+W did more weddings at Hall of Springs than any other venue in 2010, and it was the perfect setting to send off the year.

Thanks for a great time Erin + Rick……

We look forward to 2011 and all the wonderful weddings it will bring!

~Alisha

Brianna+Mike at the Hall of Springs

Bringing in the new year with another beautiful Hall of Springs wedding! We were fortunate enough to capture yet another beautiful December holiday wedding recently and we’re really excited to share it. Brianna does a better job than I possibly could introducing the wedding :
“I am in love with the Christmas season and knew pretty easily that I had to have a Christmas wedding. Every year my parents throw a big Christmas party that all of our friends and family look forward to every year, so I knew this would be a perfect fit for us. I wanted our wedding to have the warm, holiday, Christmas feel. I also wanted to share our many years that we’ve been together thus far with everyone. We have shared many exciting events, travels, and life experiences through our 8 years together and wanted to remember and celebrate with all of our friends and family.”
Those of you who follow the blog know how much we love the Hall of Springs and when you combine that with snowy Saratoga Springs, a Lazaro dress from Kleinfeld, Mansion Catering, Make Me Fabulous, the NY Players, and Anthology Design Studio you get a big fat blog entry to start your week back to work :)

We’ll start with our teaser on Facebook (you should join)

Photographing the bride and groom seeing each other for the first time is always one of my favorites

Then it’s off for my favorite time of the day

Both of these two were really great in front of the camera

When you have a winter wedding you rock Uggs, not heels

Love me some winter portraits, Brianna is freezing in these shots I’m sure but she was awesome about it :)

This little girl could have stole the show!

This series is one of my favs, I love the shot from the back as Brianna enters the church and Mike’s reaction is perfect.

Having Holy Night sung in the church during the ceremony was a nice touch

The Hall of Springs looked fantastic, as usual

The dessert bar was a huge hit (ummmm I mean that’s what I heard)

The Christmas ornament table card holders were a fantastic idea

I bet you’d never guess Brianna is a dance instructor :)

Thanks so much for having me at your Hall of Springs wedding, and allowing us to capture everything! Happy Holidays!
