Erika+Mike – Glen Sanders Wedding Video

We have another beautiful wedding video on it’s way for you this morning, this time we were filming at the Glen Sanders Mansion. We shot a lot at the Mansion this year and loved it, especially Erika+Mike’s wedding. It’s always a huge positive for us when we get to shoot getting everything all day in one location like this, and we had a beautiful day on top of that. Get ready for some awesome vows!

Parachute/All that I am

Before I end this I have to give Erika some props though, I love how she brought in some great Fall colors to her wedding.

Congratulations Ariane+Marc | Glen Sanders Mansion Wedd

What happens when you take a dude that looks like he just stepped out of a 1930′s film and a stunningly beautiful bride that wants to marry that dude? Well, here at Clark+Walker Studio we like to call it the Ariane+Marc!

Talk about a couple full of life, love and everything going for them! We had such a fabulous time with Ariane+Marc at Glen Sander’s Mansion! Classy, elegant, couture (and I specifically use this term due to the heavy French influence that day!)!

Ariane+Marc, Thank you for letting us be a part of your beautiful event. We were most honored that you had chosen us to capture it for you! And special thanks to Make Me Fabulous for bringin’ their makeup artistry goodness to the day! And let’s not forget about David Michael Schmidt over at Renaissance Floral who had the house popping with gorgeous flowers!

Kathleen+Chris | Glen Sanders Mansion wedding videograp

The only time I had been to the Glen Sanders Mansion prior to shooting videography for the fabulous wedding of Kathleen+Chris was when I had attended the bridal show back in January, and let me just say that you can’t really get a very good vibe for how exquisite the place is when it’s jam packed full of wedding vendors. So this, as it were, happened to be my first real wedding assignment at the mansion and I now see what all the hype is about! What a great environment for wedding videography, too! I bet there isn’t a week that goes by where the studio isn’t all abuzz about the mansion!

You may recall Kathleen+Chris from their eshoot back in October. Not only did the shots from that day turn out fabulous, but we captured some great stuff on their big day as well! At one point we decided to get a little crazy and throw down some video on the nearby train tracks, and much to our good fortune a train came screaming by allowing us the opportunity to capture some really cool imagery (not before it scared the hell out of all of us first!). And although it may have been a bit chilly that day, I’d say we all had a great time pulling this one off!

Congratulations Kathleen+Chris! Thank you for allowing me to have my first experience at Glen Sanders Mansion with you guys!

And without further ado …

Glen Sanders Mansion Wedding

There are very few things we like more than a Glen Sanders Mansion Wedding! Glen Sanders Mansion is one of the most popular wedding venues in the Capital Region and one of our favorite places to shoot. Our production manager Dawn was even married there! The Capital Region hotspot is also a place we often shoot, and we’re booked for a bunch more jobs in 2010. We’re working to bring you a show and tell blog video later this year, but in the mean time check out some of our favorite images:

I know the venue has gone through some renovations and updates over the past year and we’re really excited about sharing those with you. Here is the official write up from their website:

“The historic Mansion in Scotia has stood for over 275 years, and today welcomes those looking for a charming backdrop to their special event.

Set on the banks of the Mohawk River, the up-to-date ballroom, al fresco patio, and riverfront gazebo accommodate up to 300 guests and help make your day as perfect as you could possibly imagine.”

I have to admit, the fact that Scotia is so close to the studio makes shooting there even better for us :) In addition their official website I would also recommend checking out their blog Aisle Files. This is a blog all of us check on a daily basis as it’s a great resource for Upstate NY weddings. Plus they feature our work a lot… hey we love to see our work in many places!

Last but not least one of the reasons we love shooting at the Glen Sanders Mansion is of the great photo locations on the property. From the beautiful bridal suite (gorgeous place to get ready for the wedding) to the dock in the back (and we love our dock shots!) we have a lot to work with when we shoot there.

Thanks for checking out this blog post and we can’t wait to bring you even more soon!

- Luke
