One of my favorite parts of the day was shooting the first look on the busy streets of Saratoga. Getting all those great reactions, not just from Lauren and Brad, but people on the street was pretty cool. Once we got to the ceremony however, I was blown away by the design and I think you are going to be too! What a great end to the wedding season. Thank you Lauren and Brad for having us, and congratulations.

I can’t believe the day is finally here, when I get to share this wedding!  I’ve probably watched it 25 times since I finished it because Kristina and Nick’s wedding was not just full of wonderful details and elegance, but laughs and tears that really showed just how much they care for each other, and how their friends and family care for them.

Now you’ve probably seen many of these details in their photo blog, but it took the skill of both Kristina and Nick working with the Katie O’ Events team to bring this all together in a beautiful and unique way. They knocked it out of the park! Katie has a utility belt that would make Batman jealous, that is, if Batman would like to sparkle… But she is always 100% prepared for anything. They way they designed the wedding really characterized their personalities and created the perfect atmosphere that embodied what this day was all about; their complete infectious love for each other!

There is a special ending to this one just as the credits roll, and I want to thank DJ Jeffery Scott for giving me great audio, not just at this wedding, but all year long. Amazing professionalism and F.U.N. fun!

Another awesome wedding at the Hall of Springs, this time with Caryn and Aric. They pulled out all the stops and transformed the hall into a classical, elegant space, that fit both their style and taste. There was one aspect to this wedding that I find very special and somewhat uncommon, and that is the abundant presence of children. They get out there and have just as much fun as the adults and it’s always fun to see how they are going to put their stamp on the night.

Had the chance to work with Cody Raisig from the city, who was doing the photo and The New York Players in the house dropping musical bombs on the dance floor all night. Everyone was loving that energy, including the kids.

Jessica and Evan are just the sweetest couple, and it was really great to be back at the Hall of Springs for another fall wedding. I have to admit that this wedding ceremony was one of my favorites, and I paid special attention to it in this trailer. Jessica is just a classic beauty. And Evan, a classy guy.

Not everyone is super comfortable in front of a camera, and for the most part most people are very nervous. This was exactly the case going into this wedding. Brad had made the arrangements to have us film his wedding, and Randi was not to happy he had gone ahead and booked it. Even on our first meeting, I immediately got the vibe that cameras and Randi didn’t mix well, and I was probably enemy number one.

But I already knew Randi was going to be comfortable when the big day came, because our approach to filming a wedding is not what she was thinking of at all. No big cameras, no big productions, and most of all, no intrusive lights. And I was right! A few days after the wedding I received an email from Randi thanking me for being so unobtrusive and making her feel comfortable.

But did I stay to far back? Did I miss the shot because I didn’t want to get to close? Was this the wedding shot from the back of the Hall, distant and detached from the event? I don’t think so. Not a chance. Certainly not working with Tracey Buyce Photography at the Hall of Springs. My goal wasn’t just to be unobtrusive, but to deliver a video that made Randi give Brad the biggest hug for booking videography with us.

This really was a great wedding, and I had a blast working with Tracey and Dan the man, Al from TS Ensemble, and all the vendors. Thanks for having us, and congratulations.
