Lauren+Derek’s Skaneateles Engagement

Happy Monday morning! After a crazy weekend of shooting, and Alisha’s baby shower, we are off for a couple days of R+R in Lake Placid but we have to post something before we go of course :) Check out Lauren+Derek’s Skaneateles Engagement shoot!

This cart was in someone’s backyard with a sunset… thank you Mr Random Homeowner for allowing us to crash your backyard (even if you didn’t really allow it)

The Fall colors have started!

Love this series

Thank you both so much for allowing us to share your amazing Skaneateles engagement photos!

Briana+Tom’s Nipmoose Engagement Shoot

The Barns of Nipmoose have quickly become one of my favorite places to shoot – just wait until you see why! If you love rolling hills, historic barns, open fields, butta light, and open barn doors then this is your dream location. Combine that with a dream couple (I even had another red head, what more can I ask for??) and this is what you get:

With a wedding around the corner you’re getting a sneak peak of the butta that’s about to follow in a few weeks

The Barns of Nipmoose provided an awesome backdrop for our engagement photos

A little outfit change and then we hit up these red barn doors

Love this last little fun+flirty series we hit up on the way out – these two are awesome together

Thank you both so much and I will see you very soon!

Skaneateles Engagement Shoot with Jessica+Tom

We were very very luck to have such amazing light for the engagement session of Jessica+Tom in Skaneateles Lake on Labor Day weekend! Jessica+Tom drove all the way from NYC to have their engagement session done in the Finger Lakes! Skaneateles is a pretty special town.

A few shots downtown Skaneateles with Jessica+Tom’s furbaby!

Another few shots at Mirbeau but the light was getting so amazing, I wanted to quickly hit the hay fields before the late summer light was gone!

When I was driving up to Skaneateles I saw this barn about 5 miles away. I kept an eye on you, barn!

Just loved the light coming through this barn.

………..And….. this is the light I wait all day for! These hay bales were actually pretty tall and they were troopers for climbing on top of them.

Such a nice sunset!

I look forward to their wedding next year at the Aurora Inn! May we have just as nice of a day!

Skaneateles engagment photos with April+Matt

I’m sending off this work week with a little bit different of a blog entry, normally we don’t blog engagement shoots much anymore as you’ve probably noticed. We still have love for engagement shoots, but with Clark+Walker doing (as of this typing) 122 weddings as a studio…. you can just imagine how backed up this blog would be if we blogged everything we shot. It’s already hard enough scheduling things to go live with just weddings! However, not only do I love Skaneateles (well documented), and not only do I love April+Matt – but I actually took this shoot while on vacation! Skaneateles is the perfect place for engagement photos and they don’t live too far so it gave us a chance to shoot in my old stomping grounds, and near places where I grew up.

This sunflower field is south of Syracuse, north of Skaneateles, and needs to be credited to our good friend Dawn for finding on her drive to the summer lake house rental. Props again on the find Dawn!

It’s also nice when you can find engagement photo spots like this along the side of the road!

Can you blame me for having a blast with these two?!

Skaneateles Lake works fairly decent as a backdrop (even if it was sprinkling)

And finally…. Matt if you don’t listen to your soon to be wife I pity you my friend.

Thank you both so much for allowing me to capture your engagement photos and I can’t wait for the wedding!

Phish Engagement Shoot at SPAC

I had so much fun with Morgan+Pete at their Phish engagement shoot I just had to share! This has already become one of the most “liked” and commented on teaser photos on the Clark+Walker facebook page so we had to use it to start the week off right!

Morgan works at NewsChannel 13 and got us special access to SPAC for our Phish engagement photos. Luckily for us they were running some light tests.

We got kicked out within 5-10 mins by the band even with permission. Oh well, it was worth it!

A dead sexy outfit change at the Hall of Springs, where they are getting married this winter.

Shake down!!! Can I get a grilled cheese please?

The concert was such an awesome venue for the engagement photos

Looking forward to this awesome couple’s wedding. Thank you for having a blast with me during your Phish engagement shoot and congrats on the Loving Cup encore :)
