Destination Weddings

At Clark+Walker studio, we love to shoot locally, but it’s pretty awesome when we are asked to shoot a destination (for us) wedding in a beautiful location. Destination weddings have brought us to California, Florida, Mexico, NYC, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Bermuda and Philadelphia, just to name a few of our favorites. Each of them were incredible and we of course love the opportunity to capture amazing images in new places, taking advantage of unique settings and cool architecture. Our brides and grooms sure do know how to choose killer locations – see for yourself!

Party time in Puerto Rico!

Tia+Bernardo’s Winter Park Florida

Well, there is nothing like a Florida wedding in January to star the year off right! We have been looking forward to Tia+Bernardo’s Winter Park wedding for quite some time, they are good friends of ours and we’ve known Tia for a while. She became a friend of both of us when we pounded the pavement during bridal fashion week at theknot.com. Bridal Fashion week sounds all glamorous, and it certainly can be, but it’s also a frustrating long and at times stressful day. Tia was often times one of the editors who we’d go to shows with and we bonded right away – she’s such a sweetheart and good person. If you can make days like those fun, then you know you’ve got a good friend!

You may also remember their awesome Boston engagement shoot from the blog. They are also featured in the Engagement section of the regular website (yes they are like C+W celebs).

We just LOVED Tia’s Reem Acra from Kleinfeld Bridal. Can you see the subtle hint of pink? Our mutual friend, Heather (her wedding, here!), fashion editor at the knot, helped styled Tia!

Tia+Bernardo got married in the same church that Tia’s parents got married in 30+ years ago. Tia walked down the aisle to Ave Maria (the same song Tia’s mom walked down the aisle to).

The candy/cookie bar was Tia’s mom’s idea. She always keeps a lot of candy in her house (everyone loves coming over!). The Italian cookies were because Tia’s mom is full-blood Italian and Bernardo’s family also has Italian blood. They always get Italian cookies for special occasions. The candy/dessert bar was put together by one of Tia’s mom’s close friends with Fabergé bowls!

San Ysidro Ranch with Ashley+Eric

I’m soooo excited to show you Ashley+Eric’s wedding at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California! We flew out with Katie O Events who coordinated a spectacular day and I’ve been dieing to share these images. From the moment Katie mentioned “the Cantanucci wedding” and the all-star team we’d be working with we knew it was going to be on. This is already one of those weddings where we feel excited and proud to be associated with, and we haven’t even done the October event yet :)

I knew Ashley and I would be BFF’s when I saw her Lela Rose rehearsal dinner dress…..

One of the nice things about destination weddings is the amount of time you spend with a family throughout the process…. getting to watch, observe, capture, and learn is our job. I can tell you without a doubt there is no hiding what a proud father Ashley has. This moment during the ceremony was special to us as we were capturing it after getting to know the family
