HERE IT IS!!! Our 2nd annual video contest! To start the year off in a fun way, C+W is excited to give our couples a way to show off their wedding trailer and at the same time, win a really cool little prize.

You have the control to decide which trailer, or trailers (yup, you can vote for more than one if you like!) are your favorite and give them your vote. Maybe you will choose your favorite because you know the couple, or maybe it reminds you of your own wedding, or maybe you just love the trailer because along with the music, it is just plain awesome. Whatever you choose to base your vote on is up to you, but be sure to have fun, enjoy, and show our couples some love!

For the prize this year, going to the trailer with the most votes, we are giving away a free Blu-Ray disk upgrade, up to 5 copies of your DVD, free Bonus Features, and an optional (but come on, who wouldn’t want this??) VIP night at our studio where you come in, take over the place, have wine and snacks for your guests and have a “Premiere Showing” of your Wedding Film on our HDTV in our comfy viewing room, on the date of your choosing (see, told you you’d want it!).

The Dress

As a bride-to-be begins planning her wedding, many thoughts go quickly to the dress. Which style will she wear? What designer will she choose? Will the dress be a statement piece or will it be elegant, yet understated?

As you can imagine, Clark+Walker see a huge variety of dresses every year and we wanted to show you just how stunning they were in 2011. Some of the amazing designers we saw on our C+W brides this year included: Pnina Tornai, Lazaro, Monique Lhuillier, Romona Keveza, Oscar de la Renta, Lea Ann Belter, Lela Rose, Amsale, J.Crew, Vera Wang, Mori Lee, Pronovias, Paloma Blanca, and Blue By Enzoani.

Our brides looked absolutely fantastic this year! They always seem to have a knack for choosing the perfect dress and it truly shows when they step into it for the first time. You looked amazing ladies, your dress choices really showed your class, elegance, and fashionable style!

This was BY FAR our largest and most popular contest to date, and I can tell after viewing our traffic that this year’s contest was absolutely bananas.

Also, I know we promised the prize would be two 16×24 canvases to the winner (Lindsay+Eric)… but because voting was sooo tight we’re also going to give Betsy+Mike a 16×24 canvas print as well as a consolation prize. We hold the contest with the goal if it being fun, free gifts around the holidays, and to celebrate and look back on an incredible year. We hope the voting will be like that if we do this contest again in the future, and we didn’t want someone to get so close to winning and feel totally empty-handed.

Thank you to everyone for participating, for sending our blog to your friends, and especially for an incredible 2011. We celebrated our office Christmas on Friday with gifts, a great time at the office, then over dinner+drinks to end the night. Wedding of the Year!

I can’t believe it’s here already, but welcome to our 7th annual photo contest! Every year for the past 6 years we hold a contest in early December that allows some of our brides the chance to show off their best images, and win a nice little present to give away (or, ahem, keep) right before the holidays. This year our photo contest is titled “Wedding of the Year.” We started having people vote on certain categories (like best cake), and move to having people vote on best image of the year from a wedding… but we’ve decided to transition this contest to Wedding of the Year. That’s right it’s not just a specific category or shot, you’re voting on the most kick ass wedding. What that means to the voter? Well it’s up to you! If you like a wedding because of the couple then vote for them, you like their photos the best then vote for that couple. There’s right or wrong criteria for your favorite wedding, whatever wedding strikes you as the best feel free to vote for you. You can also vote for more than one.

For the prize this year we are giving away two 16×24 canvas gallery wraps to the wedding with the most votes. We wanted to give two so that way the couple can give one to each set of parents, or give one as a gift and keep the other. Options people! :)

Big Print Sale

Many of you hopefully received the big email that went out earlier in the week, but over the holiday weekend we launched our holiday sale with 30% and free shipping on all orders. Just type in the code “holidaysale” to get your discount. The sale ends at midnight on Monday so get your order in ASAP.

We already have some of the cheapest professional prints you will find from a professional direct, so we rarely ever have sales because of it. However we know it’s getting that time of year right now where people are looking for gifts and we want to make it quick and easy. If you want to order prints from 3rd party sites you have to upload the high resolution photo and mess with the site, and the quality isn’t as good. However I know the price difference between a professionally made print and a regular print you find online makes it easy to buy them from 3rd party places. It makes sense and we totally get it. However with the 30% off and free shipping we think you’ll find the prices to be comparable and we take care of all the editing for you :)

If your gallery is not online because of the server switch we had to make in July then let us know and we can add your gallery.
