Playa del Carmen Cancun Mexico Wedding

Viva Weddings! I’m so excited to be sharing a gorgeous wedding I had the pleasure of shooting recently in Mexico. I’ve shot a couple weddings in Mexico now so this is quickly becoming a favorite location of mine :)

Joanie+John had originally decided to get married in Saratoga Springs, and I was looking forward to shooting another local wedding that we love so much. However I have to admit I was pretty giddy when I received the email that the wedding was being moved. Not being moved from one location in Saratoga to another, but all the way down to Playa del Carmen, Mexico! I know they wanted to move the wedding to make it more intimate and special for their friends and family, and I have to say it was an honor for us to be there and I know they accomplished exactly what they set out for. Hopefully you like what we were able to capture in the process :)

So much texture everywhere!

Having a 6 year old of my own, this shot of Joanie and her son just PULLED at my heartstrings.

The couple and I were very thankful Taia of Inspired Occasions was there to pull everything off, in a different country no less! What a huge undertaking and I give Taia and her assistant, Julie, major props.

The couple had an el mariachi band and cocktails waiting at the ceremony. Does it get better than THAT!?

Tropical Storm, Arlene, tried to rain our parade!

Joanie and John decided on Mexico after a vacation there last year. Since it was a second wedding for both of them, they decided to have their children, closest family and friends join them in the celebration.

Three seconds after this shot, the skies just opened up! :)

I always try and do a sunrise shoot with my clients. I’m glad someone finally took me up on it. Sunrise can have some of the nicest, softest light!

“Just…married!”

A fogged up 50 1.2 (lens) at 5:30 am or film? You decide. :) Either way make for a great shot!

I’m truly appreciate you bringing us out to shoot your wedding. It was a great time!

Robert London: I love the use of natural light, and the trash the dress shots, green tie and all
