Brianne + Chris

I’m really honored to share Brianne+Chris’s wedding today. I actually grew up around Chris and his family a lot as a child, in fact I don’t think anyone other than Chris’s mom ever cut my hair until I was in my 20s! Both families always vacationed together down in Myrtle Beach and even though we went to different schools our families have always been friends for as long as I can remember. When I heard through my grandmother that Chris had gotten engaged I had a feeling I might get a call, and of course I’m honored to be sharing some of the images with you today.

Yet another beautiful C+W bride!

Chris was not to be out-done though!  Love the portrait on the left, but anyone who knows Chris knows the one on the right is really him :)

This is the look that says, “Can you believer we’re really doing this?!” Little moments like this are always what I’m looking for during a wedding ceremony

We had killer light for these portraits and it has to be noted that Brianne and her bridesmaids were looking fierce that day.

You know I can’t resist a signature wedding party photo. These guys were hot! Love the long black dresses and classic black tuxes.

Turning Stone does a great job with weddings and we were lucky enough to score my favorite kind of light

The Risavi family have always been the kind of people who give you a smile, or a laugh, anytime you see them.  This is a great exchange between Chris’ father and the couple as he gives everyone a good laugh.

Ah, yes, more of that gorgeous light!  Turning Stone weddings allow us that nice sunset over the front of the property

I had a really great time at this wedding and it was a little bit of a reminder of how important what we do really is and how much impact it can have on a family. I was reminded of that last year when I was married, and you really see just how incredibly important wedding photos are. We get to attend some amazing events, all over the globe, but this was really nice for me personally to sort of bring me back to my roots of what we do and how important it can be to people. Not just photos of cool details or beautiful centerpieces, but of families. Thank you to the Risavi family for allowing me to be a part of such a big day, and for always being such great friends!
