You’re going to notice in the coming months that we just can’t get enough of gorgeous waterfront weddings. (Which might be why we decided we had to have our own waterfront wedding, but we’ll let you be the judge of that.) Brigid and Steve’s wedding, at The Inn at Erlowest, was one of those beautiful lakefront celebrations that’s just epic.
Yet again we were blown away by the team at Make Me Fabulous, who did an amazing job with Brigid’s hair and makeup. In her gorgeous lace Monique L’huillier gown from Bella Rosa in Richmond, Virginia, she was an absolutely stunning bride.
Brigid wore a necklace that her grandmother Mimi loved to wear years ago and then had a jeweler design earrings to match and wore the set as her ‘something old’ and ‘something new.’ She also wore a beautiful pearl bracelet that was my other grandmother Nanny’s and carried a purse of hers that many ladies in the family have “borrowed” for their weddings, too. She pinned a locket on her bouquet that held photos of both of her grandmothers.
Susan and Peter of Finishing Touches in Bolton Landing were responsible for all of the gorgeous flowers. Brigid had been waiting to have them design her wedding flowers since she was a teenager and knew exactly who to work with when the time came.
Brigid’s bridesmaids wore Jenny Yoo dresses and they had matching ties for the groomsmen.
We love this shot of Brigid sneaking up on Steve! Her smile says it all.
Ah, yes, the quintessential Lake George wedding. Just gorgeous!
Brigid grew up on Lake George and really wanted to share her love for the lake and the beauty of the area with out of town friends and family. She picked a soft, elegant color palette of blue and green – the colors of the lake and the grass and the trees and mountains as you look out on Lake George. She worked with Heather Boyd of Style Made Simple in Norfolk, Virginia to pull all of the details together seamlessly.
The simple details – like pintucked linens and a gorgeous bow-topped cake by The Chocolate Mill in Glens Falls – really do make all the difference.
Oh, and by the way, these gorgeous waterfront shots? They’re what we meant when we said “epic.”
Brigid and Steve – a huge congratulations to you and thank you so much for allowing us the pleasure of sharing in your celebration. Weddings like yours make what we do incredibly special.
