Thanks for checking out the Puerto Rico wedding photographers! The tan that some of you have seen me wearing the last few days was indeed real (although sadly it’s just about gone again). Last week I had the distinct pleasure of joining Holly+Jason in Puerto Rico for their fabulous wedding! While Clark+Walker Studio is used to destination weddings and we love them (especially in the winter!), it was extremely exciting to be shooting somewhere other than the beach. The hotel was near the beach and we were able to get our surf on, but the actual wedding took place on a beautiful mountain in towards the rain forest. When Jason told me “it has a ton of character and you may have some chickens under your feet as you’re shooting” I knew it was going to be something totally different and unique. Right up my alley!
I’m even more excited than normal to share these images because of what a great trip I had, the amazing light, the unique location, and most of all… a really awesome couple to work with. We also have a day after shoot to blog still as well where we walked around Old San Juan for some of my favorite stuff of the trip, but for now I’m just going to blog the wedding.
I love when the guys start the day off doing something fun. Anytime you get a groom who can juggle some coconuts you are off to a good start :)
The guys were in the zone on the jetskis
After some beach fun it was time to head into the air conditioned suite with the girls
Luckily the suite was full of windows and sliding glass doors (niiiiiice)
After some hair and make up we were off to the rainforest and to the property
After a sandy shower Jason was ready to model for me again
The guys were a lot of fun which makes it easy for us
Holly stole the show though…
See what I mean?
Before all the guests came we were able to sneak the two of them off for a first meeting
After a first meeting between them it was time to sneak off and grab some ceremony details before the guests arrived
And yes I had to hit this water a couple times with the Puerto Rico humidity!
LOVE this processional series
Absolute BUTTA light
In addition to the sheer beauty of the ceremony there was also some emotions too
Another one of my favs
I love the glow that the bride+groom get right after the ceremony ends
Holly has nailed all of the details so far… why not keep it going for the reception
A first dance to the sunset in Puerto Rico… sometimes you wonder why everyone doesn’t have a destination wedding
Thanks so much you two, and we still have the day after shoot on tap! Hopefully Clark+Walker will be back in PR soon!
