I can’t believe it’s here already, but welcome to our 6th annual photo contest! Every year for the past 5 years we hold a contest in early December that allows some of our brides the chance to show off their best images, and win a nice little present to give away (or, ahem, keep) right before the holidays. This year our photo contest is titled “Photo Of The Year.” That’s because this year we’re not picking images that need to fall into a specific category, we want YOU to vote on which image is the best to YOU. We’re not setting any guidelines on this one, if you love Image X because it’s emotional and your favorite photo, then you can vote for that one. If you love Image Y or Z because the beautiful sunset lovin is your style then vote for that. You can vote for one image, but make it any image that speaks to you personally.
For voting we are offering 2 different ways to vote:
1. You can vote by leaving a comment in the comment box at the bottom of this blog entry. After the last photo there is a box for you to leave a comment, put the number directly above your favorite photo in the comments and that counts as your vote. This give people a chance to tell us why they liked it so much, as well as needing to actually have a real name and email address for each vote. Each comment for a certain photo counts as ONE vote point.
2. New this year, people can also vote on facebook (maybe you’ve heard of it?). We have a post on facebook that says “Enter the number of your favorite photo here to Vote!” and I think you can guess what to do when you see this. To get to our facebook account just click here – http://www.facebook.com/CWStudio. Each vote on facebook counts as TWO vote points.
The voting will end on Sunday, December 5th at 11:59pm. You are encouraged to invite as many people as you can get to vote for you photo. I will tally the vote points, counting both the points from the blog as well as facebook, on midnight on the night of the 5th and announce the winner on Monday the 6th. The bride and groom who’s wedding we were at when the photo was captured will get the prize. The prize will be a beautiful 7×7 Cypress image box with 10 matted images of your choice. This makes a beautiful gift to the family, or to keep for yourself. Here is a sample of what the box looks like straight from the Cypress website:

#20 These last 2 aren’t just one photo, but the series says more than just one photo I feel. The photo is of a song Ben wrote and played for Radhika during the reception and her reaction says it all.
