New York engagement photography, one of our favorite chances to have some fun in the city! Reena+Amit happened to be around the city this weekend so we coordinated at one of my favorite locations for some great New York engagement pictures.

While I have shot in Central Park more times than I can count at this point, Reena+Amit gave me an early Easter present by coordinating a photography permit at the Central Park Conservatory Garden. I know it was a pain to get that taken care of, but oh so worth it as the place gave us some beautiful light and a scrumptious taste of Spring! Check out this beautiful background:

As if the 75 degree weather wasn’t enough, the colors were really starting to pop and gave us some awesome backgrounds

Yes, I know what you’re saying… “how do these guys always work with such attractive couples!” I honestly get asked that question more than you’d believe.

I love the variety of backgrounds and places for us to use when I get to go down and shoot New York engagement photos

These two warmed up to the camera immediately and made my job really easy (I love it when that happens!)

I had no intention of taking any black and whites in the park during prime light, but I fell in love with the contrasting stark white blossoms in this one

I was already feeling really good about the photography, but we snuck over to their hotel for a quick wardrobe change and then a little photography up on the rooftop deck


The shot on the left is actually a little more photojournalistic then we had intended :) Reena and Amit were walking in the street for this shot, the light turned, and someone layed on their horn and gave us a nice hello. I love the natural looks it gave us (although we could do without the horn next time I’m sure)
