Kim and Matt were married on a gorgeous May day in a ceremony at Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto in the Vincentian Institute and celebrated with a reception at the Empire State Plaza. Drawing inspiration from the clean, modern architecture of the plaza, they designed a wedding with a bold modern color palette of yellow, black and white check that showed up in bridesmaid dresses, flowers, stationery and throughout all of the sleek, contemporary details. It was a real treat to get to photograph their gorgeous wedding.
Before things could get started, Kyle from Circles worked magic on Kim’s makeup. We love seeing makeup pros in action!
Kim’s dress was a stunning lace gown by Eugenia Couture and her shoes a gorgeous pair of Manolo Blahniks.
Love this yellow and white bouquet from Renaissance Floral Design – David knocks it out of the park every time!
On the bottom of Kim’s fabulous Manolos she had rhinestone “I Do” decals, a little something blue for her shoes. And we love that smile! There is nothing like a bride who is giddy with excitement to get to the altar to meet her groom.
Seriously, how adorable are these two?
Kim and Matt wanted fun cocktail party vibe for their reception so they asked the team at Nicole’s Catering to create a varied menu of food stations that allowed guests to try a lot of different foods while mingling with friends. They worked with Renaissance Floral Design to create centerpieces that were sleek and modern and in keeping with the yellow, black and white color palette.
Have we mentioned what a gorgeous day their wedding day was? It was an amazing day for a reception at the Empire State Plaza!
In addition to a fabulous yellow and white cake by Coccadotts, the caterers also put together an amazing dessert buffet. It was loaded with tasty treats and bright and colorful like a candy store. It was a huge hit with guests!
After a beautiful wedding day, the volcano eruption in Iceland foiled Kim and Matt’s honeymoon plans last minute. Their trip to Paris turned into an impromptu vacation in Aruba instead! By all accounts, it proved to be some much needed down time so they aren’t complaining.
Congratulations, guys! Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your day.
