YOU CAN BID ON THIS AUCTION HERE
As some of you may know, my Grandmother is someone who’s very special to me. She’s been like a 2nd mother to me throughout my life, literally making it her mission in life to take care of my brother and I no matter the cost of inconvenience. Well when I found out my Grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer within the last year it was pretty tough news. Fortunately everything worked out for her, which I’m extremely grateful for, but it made me much more aware of breast cancer and how many people it affects. You’d think between all of the breast cancer awareness pushes out there that it would have connected with me somewhere, but like with many things it’s not until you are touched personally that you really start to understand problems that may exist.
Flash forward to last month, and I was approached about offering a mentoring session to fellow photographers/business owners for auction. All proceeds would be going towards breast cancer research and awareness and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This seemed like a great chance to finally give a little something back and do a little on my (our) part.
The auction is now live and you can BID HERE.
Here is a write up I put together if you are thinking of bidding:
I am open to hosting my mentoring session either via the phone or video chat, whichever is the easiest for the winning bidder. I’d really like to focus my session on the topic that I think I can offer the most insight and advice on – business+marketing. It was only 5 years ago when I launched Luke Walker Photography and grossed a whopping $40,000 (and was stoked about it!). Here we are today, Clark+Walker Studio, with 3 full time shooters grossing more than 10 times that. Growing the business, in every way from the amount of shooters, to adding employees, to over 75 weddings, has been an extremely valuable learning process and I’d love to share with someone who’s really looking to take their business to a different level. How to target the right client in your market, finding the ideal size for your company, and whether to put money towards advertising or marketing (two totally different things) are just some of the topics I think we can cover and really push your business forward. I’m certainly open to adjusting the talk a bit to make sure the winning bidder gets the most out of this, but if you’re looking for help with your business plan, structure, and the next step – I’d love to help.
