Anuja+Rishi's engagement shoot

This past weekend I was able to coordinate schedules with Anuja+Rishi to meet in Upstate NY for their engagement shoot. Considering their wedding is later in the month we knew we had to try and put something together rather quickly. I like to try and choose new and funky locations, and the longer I do this the more I like to push my creativity and shooting in areas that I’ve never shot before. We decided to choose a very remote area near Syracuse, NY around a lake. I didn’t know just how remote we were going though! To paint a picture for you the corner store was called “Uncle Chubbys” and was blasting Wrex n Effect when I pulled in. You can’t even make this stuff up!

Anyway, once we were able to meet up we had a lot of fun with this shoot…

I picked up this antique yellow chair from our friend Elizabeth Young in downtown Troy specifically for this shoot

What fun is an engagement shoot if you can’t go boating on a sunny day?

Not sure we will be giving any boating classes in the future, but once we got out there we were able to get some beautiful stuff

I love how natural these two are together

Once we finished with the boat and docks we headed over to a totally random Upstate NY field to catch some amazing sunset light

It makes my day when I get couples who are up for anything I ask :)

This field ended up being one of my favorite locations (and I stumbled upon it by accident)

Thanks so much for an awesome evening you two, and we’ll be seeing each other soon!
