Selina+Dan’s Dumbo Engagement Shoot

Hey y’all it’s studio associate photographer Andrew. This past Tuesday I went down to NYC for the evening and hung out with Selina+Dan, who are getting married a little ways out in October. It’s always a fun moment when a bride will preface a question with “this might sound really weird”, however in this case Selina just wanted to bring their dog Hudson along, which of course is not only permissible, but encouraged!

How could you say no?!

Madison Square Park was teeming with people but a little patience and some well timed shots, and you’d think it was empty.

You all know what that building on the right is, correct?

One last shot featuring Hudson.

From there we took a cab ride over to Front Street in Dumbo and did a little exploring. We found this awesome roofless and completely empty brick structure, which was really neat. Anyone know what this thing is?

Then just a few steps away, the park and Manhattan skyline is right there. It’s no surprise we saw two other engagements going on down here!

This little fenced off knoll had the best straight shot of the Brooklyn Bridge, and we had to sneak over there. Luckily no one nearby seemed to mind a few quick shots.

And a few more minutes of walking brought us into this very Bushwick/Queens border of industrialization, which has a bunch of good spots, like this brick on the right.

And this one was their facebook teaser:

Check back in a few months for their wedding shots!
